Ivan Miller Bio
Ivan Miller was born on a farm in eastern Idaho. He is a graduate of Utah State University in dairy manufacturing with honors for both his bachelors degree and his masters degree. Ivan is married to Helen Davenport and they have five children and 26 grandchildren.
Ivan served his county in World War 2 in both the Pacific and European areas. He worked as a Logan City and Idaho State health Inspector. He was manager of a cheese plant in Rexburg, Idaho, and General Manager of Upper Snake River Valley Dairymen’s Association in Idaho Falls. Ivan later transferred to Salt Lake City and became General Manager of Western General Dairies, Inc., a predecessor cooperative of WDCI. He retired from his position as General Manager on November 1, 1983.
Throughout his career, Ivan has been the recipient of many awards. He served on several boards of directors including the old Western Dairymen Cooperative, Inc., National Milk Producers Federation, Challenge Dairies, and Utah Dairy Council.
